#24165: Do you know you?

You donā€™t know yourself as much as you think.

Different situations and settings will continue to reveal yourself more to you, as you evolve and grow. And I think the best way to approach this is honesty, and continuous evaluation.

I started seeing #LoveIsBlindUK with my wife (post the pods sha) and the nuances of human relationships is interesting. Lol! I will never get into such an experiment sha šŸ˜‚, but it is eye opening to see how cultures clash and how background plays an integral role in how we act and decide things even if it is always working in the background.

See, constant communication and honesty within the bounds of genuine love, care, and commitment is the only way to build relationships that will last the test of time. If you are hiding something, ignoring something, sweeping something under the carpet, forming or internalising, dealing with insecurities alone and many more within this range of things; you are setting yourself up for a rude shock!

ā€‹
Anyway, life continues to reveal yourself to you as you grow; your own is to have a guide that helps you appropriately respondā€”mine is my faith as a Christian.

Words are really powerful. It is interesting how a teaching can shift your perspectiveā€”beyond the fact that for Christians, we believe that listening to Godā€™s word injects us with the capacity to do and embodies the Spirit. On the natural side, hearing the right things can radically put your life on track. Yesterday, Pastor May (Our matriarch at Kingsword and The New Ministries) preached a simple but powerful message. She taught on Shame and the many ways it can play out to hold you back. How...

Sometimes, people get on clarity calls for me to help connect the dots. I have a knack for identifying and connecting patterns as my mind has a way of doing some magic (even though sometimes, I am like, do this magic for me too now šŸ˜‚šŸ˜. Cos, Omo!) But thatā€™s not where I am going today. I had one of those clarity calls yesterday. After he introduced me to what he wanted to do, I responded based on an ā€œassumptionā€ I had in my head about how people in the niche typically operate. Only to realize...

I finally put up some frames that Hammed (of Hingees) sent my way yesterday, and I have been smiling every time I pass that part of the house. First, they are really beautiful. And they just exude a new breath into the house. Sometimes, what will spark joy are in the ā€œseeminglyā€ little thingsā€”intentional and loving gestures here and there. Maybe you make it a habit to randomly get a gift for someone, share a smile, give a hug (and receive one, too), place a call, send that message, and...
